Sorry for the lack of updates since last December. I hope that you and your families are all good.
Let me start this update with a big "thank you" to all those of you who sent me some emails, comments, private messages etc just to tell me that they appreciate the efforts I put into that website and also on social medias promoting the artists I like and sharing the stuff (mostly arts) that I find cool and fun. When sometimes I feel a lack of motivation, those messages simply energize me and give me the will to continue! Many thanks again to all of you guys!
Well... Yes! After so many years, Joe officially announced that the long awaited Battle Chasers comic will make its return this year with the issue #10! For the record Battle Chasers #10 was announced on September 8 2015 as a reward included in the Battle Chasers Nightwar Kickstarter campaign. Since then nothing was shared or mentioned except that the comic would indeed be done at some point.
A bit later Joe announced on June 4, 2019 (See JoeMadArt update #41) that he won't draw all the pages of the comics but that we will instead rely on "highly talented individuals"... and here we are! Joe shared recently a set of pages of Battle Chasers #10 (see below) with the interior art being done by Ludo Lullabi and the story by Joe.

For those who wants to know more about the comic you can read that recent interview of Joe done by the hollywood reporter. From that interview we can learn that Joe will in fact draw a few variant covers for the comic but no interior page:
The new comic is due to hit by year’s end, once again from publisher Image Comics, and will be followed monthly by no. 11 and no. 12, with a goal to tell a complete story arc. Madureira is writing the comic but, as opposed to the previous issues, not drawing. Instead, he handed those duties to Ludo Lullabi, whom he discovered while making 2017’s Battle Chasers: Nightwar role playing game. He does plan on drawing variant covers, however
Small correction: Joe worked with Ludo on the Darksiders 1 promotional comic back in 2009. ;)
I know already that many of you are a still a bit disappointed not to see Joe Madureira drawing the interior pages of those upcoming Battle Chasers comics. Obviously it has nothing to do with the fact that Ludo Lullabi is the one replacing Joe... but it's just that it's not Joe. Anyway, we will still get some variant covers! I hope those will be badass!
While we will all wait to see the badass covers that Joe will create, let's have a look to all those he did back in the days for the "classic" Battle Chasers!
I realized that all the covers were not in the website so I though that it was the right moment to include them all!
So you will find below all the official Battle Chasers covers done by Joe plus the Frank Frazetta Fantasy Illustrated cover (Also used for the Digital edition of Battle Chasers #0 in 2012).
